Hannah Engström's Seat Training Course
All too often riders rely on the reins and the leg to ride, but their body is often not moving in harmony with the horse. An unbalanced seat can be disturbing for the horse and cause him to lose balance; it can even cause him injury. A balanced seat requires self-awareness – that is awareness of our own movements - and awareness of the movement of the horse beneath the rider.
So how wonderful that Hanna Engström has created a step-by-step course to guide riders to find their own individual seat, where they learn to feel and respond to the movement of the horse. It’s a course that helps riders discover harmony together with their horse, in a focused, comfortable, relaxed and safe environment with the welfare of the horse as the top priority.
The 6-part course is packed with information, thought provoking and transformational exercises. It takes you all the way from finding comfort in your own home seat, how to observe your horse, how to use the reins and the leg aids, how to shape the horse between your aids and the lateral movements, to collecting the horse with your seat.
It’s an absolute gem of a course, totally unique and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
As a certified instructor for Hanna's seat training course, I am delighted to be able to offer training in Seats 1-5. I offer:
